I’ve done things I’m not proud of and often feel I have no one to turn to. God can’t want a person like me, I’ve messed up way too much, does He even know I exist?
“Healthy people don’t need a doctor, sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” Mark 2:17 [NLT]
That’s definitely me, but what exactly did He come to do for me?
“I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.” John 5:24 [NLT]
I want eternal life, and lets say God is real. But what is this ‘message’ He’s talking about?
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 [NLT]
I’ve seen that verse before but what does it take to believe in Jesus?
“I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?” John 11:25-26 [NIV]
Accepting Jesus as the Savior and Redeemer of your life is very simple:
1. Recognize that you are not perfect and ask God for forgiveness.
2. Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and that he rose to life three days later, claiming victory over death.
3. Ask Jesus to be your personal Lord and Saviour.
If you are ready and willing to take these steps of faith, you can follow us in the prayer below:
Dear God,
I admit that I have not lived a perfect life and want to be forgiven. I thank you for sending your only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for me. I believe that He rose again three days later and that only through him do I find salvation. I would like to ask forgiveness of my sins and invite Jesus Christ to be my personal Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
